When a supplier must be deleted, a requisite for deletion is a clear stripe balance. In case the supplier's remaining balance is below the minimum payout amount, follow this guide to clear the balance.
VM reaches out to Support in the case that they want to have a supplier deleted from the platform. VM will ask for Support to check, if an open Stripe balance for a specific supplier exists.
1. Log in to Stripe and search for the supplier with their email address.
2. Check the balance to see if what it is. There are 3 possibilities:
- 1. The balance is 0. This means there is nothing to do. Inform VM about the balance.
- 2. The balance is above our minimum payout amount (see list below). Go to this spreadsheet and make a new entry with the supplier email. Afterwards, go to the #finance-support Slack channel and post "I made change in the Stripe suppliers missing payouts file". Please @ Stefan.
- 3. The balance is below our minimum payout amount (see list below). Go to Stripe Support and start a new chat:

Choose "Connect" as the topic and click on "Chat with support".
Start the conversation with the following:
Hello, could you please adjust the balance to 0 for (insert supplier email)? The current balance is (insert current balance). The reason for this is that the amount is too small in order for it to be paid out and the account needs to be deleted.
Stripe will clear the balance from their side and let you know via chat/email once it is done.
Remember to follow up with them if necessary.
Let VM know that you are waiting for Stripe and let them know once you get the confirmation that it is done.
