      Phrase Connector

      Connect your Phrase instance to EasyTranslate and speed up the process! Get consistent, on-brand translations - Created by AI, enhanced by humans

      Install

      The EasyTranslate plugin is available on the integration page on the EasyTranslate  platform. If you would like to use our connector to send content between Phrase and EasyTranslate, please reach out to your CSM to set up the integration. We will handle the technical aspects  of the connection and provide you with an introduction on how to use it. 

       

      Phrase Project Setup

      In order to connect to your workflow on EasyTranslate, the Phrase project needs to contain two specific pieces of information:

      Workflow ID:
      Each workflow on EasyTranslate has a specific ID which determines where the content from Phrase will be sent for translation. This workflow-ID can be found in your EasyTranslate account. To retrieve it, log into your account and go to Integrations -> Phrase  -> Connect which will take you to your  integration page. You will find information about all your workflows and their respective workflow-IDs under 3. Create workflow:

      Copy the ID by clicking on the icon to the right of the link and paste it into the notes field of the Phrase project from which you want to send tasks to this workflow (see below). If you are working with templates you can add the workflow-ID in the notes field and it will be automatically added to all projects created with that template. This is especially convenient if you work with multiple workflows which each have their own ID.

       

      Owner:
      During the technical setup of your account a “connection owner” is determined. This user needs to be added as owner on all Phrase projects to be handled via the connector (see above).

      Starting a translation

      Once the project is set up with the correct owner and workflow ID, the project is sent to EasyTranslate using a specific linguist user. This linguist is listed in Phrase under Users and is called Easytranslate Linguist. As soon as this user is assigned to a task the content is automatically sent to EasyTranslate. Once the translation is completed it will automatically be sent back to Phrase and the content synced with the Phrase TM. 

      You can use the due date field to set a deadline for your projects which will be displayed on EasyTranslate. Note that the deadline needs to be a minimum of 24h from the time when you upload the project or the connector will not work.

      Translation review

      We strongly recommend making all edits to your content in the EasyTranslate editor. This way, all your content is up to date in both Phrase and Easytranslate. This is especially recommended when using HumanAI, as the system learns from your edits for future projects. Once you are done editing, simply finalize the review and the updated content will sync back to Phrase.
