How to invite a user to be the owner of a new subaccount
Introduction
You can add an unlimited number of users to your account, ensuring that your entire team has access to the features they need to effectively handle your localisation flows. To manage team access log in to your EasyTranslate account and proceed to
Settings -> Teams -> Users
The Users page gives you a complete overview of the team members you have invited to be a part of your account or subaccount and provides information about the individual user roles. To learn more about customised access to the platform see our article about Roles and Permissions HERE.
An invite can have 3 different statuses:

- No banner is shown: The person you have invited accepted the invitation and created a user account. This person now has access to the platform.
- Pending: The person you have invited has not yet accepted the invitation and created an account.
- Declined: The person you invited declined the invitation and can therefore not access the platform.
How to invite a new user
Go to Settings -> Teams -> Users and click on Invite new user on the top right. This opens a dialog that offers a number of possibilities to invite users and assign user roles.
You can choose to:
-
Invite a user and give access to an account or subaccount
-
Invite a user to multiple subaccounts
-
Invite multiple users to a subaccount
At the same time you can assign a specific user role to each of the users you want to onboard. To learn more about inviting users and assigning customised user roles please see the article on Roles and Permissions HERE.
How to resend invitations
If the invitation was declined by mistake or if the invite has expired, you can always send a new invitation to the same email address. First, remove the user from the view by clicking on the 3 dots next to the invitation status and chose Remove user. You can then re-send the invitation via the Invite new user button.
How to cancel an invitation
You can cancel an invitation as long as the status is Pending. To do so, simply click on the three dots next to the invitation status and select Cancel invitation. If you cancel the invitation before the user accepts and sets up a user account, they will not be granted access to the platform.
How to remove a user
To remove a user who has either declined the invitation or does not have the status Pending, simply click on the three dots next to the invitation status and select Remove user. Once a user is removed, they will no longer have access to the platform.
Good to know:
- Removing a user does not remove their personal data from our database. If you would like us to delete user data from our systems please see HERE for details on how to request account deletion.
How to invite a user to be the owner of a new subaccount
As an alternative, you can invite a user to be the owner and responsible person of a newly created subaccount. To do so, go to Settings -> Teams -> Account structure in the main account.
Click on Create a new account and fill in the required information in the dialog. When done click on Create new account. The newly created subaccount will then be added to the list on the Account Structure page.
